Nothing Satisfies

Have you discovered nothing in life seems to satisfy for long?

Relationships do not fulfill completely.

Success at work doesn’t either.

Having a nice house and car, and sharp clothes doesn’t satisfy either.

No amount of money fills the void inside either.

No matter what you try you can’t shake the emptiness inside.

I’ve been there.

I lived 32 years with an indescribable emptiness inside. As I look back I notice I was trying to fill it with work, husband, children, money, and possessions. I tried to be a hard worker, a good wife, and a good mother. When all those failed to fill me, I began to despair. I became bitter and resentful. No matter how hard I tried to be perfect something always shattered the dream.
